Where do I mail my Real Estate payments?

Tax Payment Options

BY mail:
Beginning January 1, 2020 the remittance address for paying Real Estate, Personal Property and
Motor Vehicle Excise tax has changed.  Payments should no longer be mailed to PO Box 397,
Fitchburg, MA 01420, but rather to:

Town of Boylston
Treasurer/Tax Collector
221 Main St.
Boylston, MA 01505

For proper credit please write the account number(s) on the check and enclose the remit portion
of the bill.  To obtain a receipt enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with both copies of the
tax bill along with your payment.  The taxpayer copy will be stamped “received” and returned to
you.

 BY office:
The Treasurer/Tax Collector Office can accept check and cash payments at the counter during
regular business hours.  The office cannot accept credit card or over the phone payments.  Please
make sure checks are payable to the Town of Boylston.  We are unable to accept post or stale
dated checks.  If you are paying your bill with cash we ask you to come with the exact amount
due and we will provide a stamped receipt.

BY drop box:
Town Hall has a drop box located to the right of the entrance to the building. You may drop off
your payment in a sealed envelope addressed to the Treasurer/Tax Collector.  Never place cash
in the drop box.

By online through Town Website:
Log into www.boylston-ma.gov and select “Pay Online”.  The Unipay system allows you to
make payments on real estate tax, personal property tax, motor vehicle excise tax, and your
electric bill.  You must pay the bill on or before the due date and you will need the bill number.

By online with your own bank:
If you pay taxes online with your own bank the remit address should be Town of Boylston,
Treasurer/Tax Collector, 221 Main St., Boylston, MA 01505.  Please also include the bill
number in the memo field to help us identify the property since the remit coupon is not included
when we receive your payment.
