Facilities Technician Job Ad

The Town of Boylston is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours/week) Facilities Technician to provide routine cleaning, maintenance, and repair services in Town buildings and all other related work as required.  The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control, performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently, and that the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Qualifications include a high school diploma, five years of maintenance or custodial-related work, including two years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Class D Mass. driver’s license, a Class 2A/1C hoisting license, and a Massachusetts construction supervisor's license are required. A valid Class B certified driver’s license is preferred.

The starting salary range is $77,726-$83,018 annually, depending on qualifications and years of experience, plus an excellent benefits package.

Van Drivers

The Boylston Council on Aging (COA) is looking to hire part-time per diem van drivers to cover days off, vacations, etc. Enjoy great job satisfaction by driving senior adults and disabled individuals, assisting them in and out of COA vehicles, utilizing wheelchair lift/ramp equipment as needed, and assisting with Council on Aging tasks as directed by COA staff.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED.  Large vehicle driving experience a plus; familiarity with local and surrounding communities; ability to deal tactfully, patiently and appropriately with clients; valid Massachusetts driver’s license with clean driving and CORI records.  COA drivers are required to participate in MARTAP (Massachusetts Rural Transit Assistance Program) trainings and be CPR certified.
